TRANSMISSION REPAIR & REBUILD
Bozeman Transmission specializes in transmission repairs and rebuilds for many different makes and models of vehicles. Our local R&R team members have decades of accumulative experience between them.
We specialize in automatic & manual transmission rebuilding for chevrolet, ford, dodge gas and diesel trucks & SUV's. we also specialize in heavy-duty towing units and high-performance vehicles. We also have a soft spot in our hearts for muscle and classic car transmission repair jobs! TRANSFER CASE REPAIR
If you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle, you can bet you have a transfer case. A transfer case ensures there is power enough to operate both the front and rear axles. Transfer cases must be serviced periodically, replacing it with fresh fluid, so that it lasts as long as you need it to. Over time, parts will wear out and you'll have to make repairs and in those cases, we’re here to help. Bozeman Transmission has a team of qualified technicians who are well-versed in transfer case maintenance and repair so you never have to worry about the longevity of the four-wheel-drive vehicle you rely on.
CLUTCH REPAIR
Leave your clutch repair to the professionals. Like most of your car’s parts, the clutch is designed to be durable. Over time, though, friction will wear it down — especially on vehicles that work hard, such as a heavy-hauling trucks, snow plows or RVs. Luckily, we are experts at clutch repair, especially those on larger, hard-working vehicles. We understand that no matter the size or use, you still need to drive to work, plow snow or haul materials. In those times of need, Bozeman Transmission can be counted on for timely, quality and reliable repair.
DIFFERENTIAL REPAIR
Your differential allows your vehicle’s wheels to rotate at different speeds in turns without the wheel binding or hopping — especially important in four wheel drive. Our service technicians will check differential fluid levels and replace if needed to keep your car or truck maintained and running smoothly. We’ll also inspect the u-joints in your drive shaft which connect your transmission or transfer case to the differential and may recommend replacing if they look weak or worn. In some cases your differentials will wear out and need to be replaced or repaired. If you notice any strange noises coming from you differential, it may be time to bring it into the shop for us to look at. If you leave it too long it can seize up and cause damage to other parts like the axle, driveshaft and transmission.

Bozeman Transmission has been locally owned and operated by Earl and Kim Jolliff since 2007, but the history of our shop dates back to the 1970s, making us the oldest transmission shop in Southwest Montana.
Bozeman Transmission owners Earl & Kim Jolliff
Earl grew up in Bozeman and has worked in the automotive industry for most of his life. He has experience in many aspects of vehicle repair. Prior to purchasing Bozeman Transmission in 2007, Earl worked at the shop for 15 years and has always worked to maintain its standing legacy and devotion to quality work.
Kim Jolliff
Kim grew up in the Churchill/Manhattan area and after graduation, began working in the automotive field in 1995 delivering parts for a local automotive parts shop. Kim and Earl married in 1997 and raised both of their children in the local area.
Cole Jolliff
Cole is carrying quality transmission work into the next generation. The son of Earl and Kim, Cole started working at the shop after school and during summer breaks and is now a full-time technician and rebuilder.
